4 Otylia Jędrzejczak Otylia Jędrzejczak is a Polish swimmer. She is the current world and Olympic champion in the 200 metre butterfly. She took part in the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics and twice broke the world record in the women's 200m butterfly. On 25 March 2006 she came back to competitive swimming, winning 200 m butterfly at an international meet featuring Poland, Ukraine and the Czech Republic. She won in a time of 2:15.73 s, some 10 seconds slower than her own world record.

5 Robert Kubica Robert Kubica is is the first Polish Formula One racing driver, driving for BMW Sauber. Kubica started his professional career in 2000, as a test driver for a Formula Renault 2000 car. In him first race in Hungary for BMW Sauber he finished in 7th place, but was disqualified after the race for having an underweight car. In his third race, the 2006 Italian Grand Prix Kubica finished in a personal best third position Formula One podium. He has a contract for the 2007 season with BMW Sauber as a race driver alongside Nick Heidfeld

6 Dariusz Michalczewski Michalczewski came up through Poland's state-run sports program as a boy and had a successful amateur career Michalczewski had a perfect record of 48 wins and no losses when he faced Julio César González of Mexico in defense of his title on October 18, 2003. Coming into the fight, he was within one victory of tying Rocky Marciano's all-time record for an undefeated record by a world championship boxer. October of 2004, it was announced that Michalczewski would fight France's Fabrice Tiozzo. He fought him but he lost, and then he declared the end of his career in May 2005.

7 Artur Boruc He is a goalkeeper for Celtic and also represents the Poland national football team. On July 12, 2005 he signed with Celtic from the Polish club Legia Warszawa Boruc has appeared 20 times for Poland. He was selected to the 23-men national squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals held in Germany. He was named player of the month for December 2006 in the Scottish Premier League and his form was recognized with a nomination for the Scottish Professional Footballers' Association's player of the year award for 2007.
