20 How can we help? Extrinsic motivation, present orientation. Advertise the provision of employability services to students to show how they can supplement their degree in the eyes of an employer. Consider the effectiveness of the internal careers services. Restructure degree courses to encompass compulsory placements. Intrinsic motivation, future orientation. Increase the authenticity of learning experiences and modes of assessment Form alliances with local businesses or recruiters to aid students in their transition to employment. Fill internal temporary or part-time vacancies with students from within the university.
