20 KERALA-SKILL UPGRADATION
(b) PLACEMENT RECORD ASSOCHAM conducted training of VRS Employees in Kanpur & Lucknow in various trades as CRR under DPE guidelines. Most of the persons who underwent training got placed in various organizations in near by companies & factories . Some of them started their own business . KERALA-SKILL UPGRADATION ASSOCHAM is running its Skill Upgradation and Pre-Departure Orientation for potential Emigrant workers in Kerala under the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA). The Programme (Training & Certification) is designed keeping in focus the trades which are in greater demand in overseas. The programme has successfully placed 1400 youths as of now.

21 QUALITY CONTROL ASSOCHAM is an Apex Body and Non Profit making organization having with them well qualified Lead Auditors etc. ASSOCHAM imparts training on QC/ISO etc. It receives periodically financial support from QCI & various Ministries etc. ASSOCHAM is accredited to Quality Council of India (QCI) to meet its mission and target. ASSOCHAM is associated with (member) of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Assocham along with GOI plays a role in establishing system to ensure quality .We are equity holder and board member of QCI .

23 COLLECTION INFORMATION OF VTP
The very first step will be collecting data of VTP and coordinating workshops and introduction seminars in each RDAT and district headquarters to ensure our presence and motivating stakeholders to produce the best output. Our team of experts and consultants will meet each VTP personally and let them know about our strength and policies so that they can get accessed by us. We will be motivating VTPs to improve the quality & infrastructure so the outcome of training can be best utilized in the industry. In meeting and seminars we will also provide platform to all VTPs to highlight their success and voices the concerned issues and innovations made during the training. These workshop and seminar will also sensitize the stakeholders on the need of SDIS to promote employability

24 Collecting Information of Candidates to be Assessed
Next step of our Assessment process is to collect a list of candidates ready to face the assessment, comprises of complete details of each candidate and training completed. It is essential part of our assessment methodology which help us to collect necessary data of a trainee regarding his background and current status. This also helps us in maintaining a database that we may utilize in future for employability and linkage with industries. Shorting & Preparing Trade wise List In next step we will prepare summary containing trade wise information of candidates to be accessed and suitable date/locations, which helps us to make the strategy. Selection of Appropriate Team After receiving relative information for assessment, we will depute team of eligible accessers / industry experts who will take care of the whole process according to the guidelines of assessment, nature of assessment and the subjects involved there-in. Appointing Team Leader As soon as our selection process comes to an end we select one most eligible team member to lead the entire team and manage the testing process up-to the mark. Post Assessment Preparation: On the basis of information received for assessment we prepare all the necessary Attendance Sheet, Assessment Sheet, Data Sheet and Trade-wise Question Bank, Assignment Topics etc.

25 Arrangements for testing process:
Before starting the assessment our team leader assess the arrangements made for testing purpose and after satisfying that according to the nature of training for which testing is being done all required facility is available at venue, he starts the testing. Personal Interaction with Candidates During this step our assessor entertains each candidate personally in friendly environment with the purpose to collect the information regarding his training quality, duration and practical etc. This information is very useful to us and helps to compare with the information submitted by the training provider and by this way we try to know the genuineness and quality of training provided to candidates. Theory & Practical Session: In this session Assessor asked every candidate few questions randomly selected from the Question Bank already prepared for the testing purpose. Later on some practical assignments given to each candidate if required which depend on nature of training. Assessing the Competency and Marking At the end keeping in view the overall performance of the candidate and the objectives of the training programme assessor filled the assessment sheet by giving the appropriate marks/grade and take the signature of the candidate in the attendance sheet. We will also collect the personal feedback of candidates to ensure future rectifications to be implemented as a part of assessment process. Day-to-Day Reporting On close of every day during assessment our Team take all papers relating to the assessment completed in their own possession and send the daily report to the respective person by post/ /phone.

27 CRR ACTIVITY UNDERTAKEN BY ASSOCHAM
In Kanpur & Lucknow following activities were undertaken : Sensitization Camp were organized at the unit level of different CPSUs to assist, guide ,counsel ,VRS/VSS optees waiting release from CPSUs. The objective of organizing sensitizing camp is to counsel the proposed VRS workers at the unit of the concerned mill, about the futuristic planning ascertaining his existing skill and the desirable skill. Door to door survey were conducted of these workers who were effected by the closure or VRS. Demand driven training programme were organized for the interested workers in order to develop their entrepreneurs or Marketing skill Sound Monitoring and Evaluation were undertaken during and after the training . During the post training period escort services and support facilities were provided. Employment Assistance Centers were established All the activities were undertaken within the defined parameters and close coordination of D.P.E (Govt of India )
