7 Farmer Jason Jason was a farmer. He woke up early everyday because he had a lot of chores to do on his farm. One chore he had to do every afternoon was drive his tractor around the farm to cut the grass. It was a hard job to complete in that hot Florida sun. When he was finished, he went inside his house.

8 What will happen next? Jason will drink a glass of water and then continue to finish his chores on the farm. A. Jason will play video games. B. Jason will drink a glass of water and then continue to finish his chores on the farm. C. Jason will take a picture of his tractor. D. Jason will drive his tractor to Publix.

9 A Windy Walk Alexis decided to go for a walk one afternoon. Her mother warned her it was windy, but Alexis insisted on wearing her new hat. As soon as she stepped outside, her new hat blew away. Alexis chased after it. She watched her hat blow across her neighbor’s yard, over the sidewalk, and land in a big tree. She climbed the tree.

11 The Long Hike “Come on Taylor!” said Lauren. “You can do it!” Taylor got up and walked five more steps. She couldn’t go any farther. She complained, “My feet hurt!” She sat down to take a pebble out of her shoe. She was exhausted. Lauren tried to cheer her up by offering to carry her backpack for her. All of a sudden, Lauren shouted, “If you listen, you can hear a waterfall.” Taylor slowly smiled.
