6.  Bananas are one of the most popular fair trade items.

7.  Bonito Bananas usual retail price is $2.99 per kg here in NZ and the Banana farmer will only get approximately $3 per day for growing the bananas and harvesting them.

8.  All Good fair trade Bananas are only $4.49 per Kg and the farmers will get about 60c for every banana sold.

9. For an extra $1.50 per kg of Bananas you will be making someone's life a lot better.

10.  Cocoa Farmers  Cocoa farmers that are not with a fair trade organisation are paid just 1c for every chocolate bar sold for $1.80.  Cocoa farmers that are with a fair trade organisation are paid 20c for every chocolate bar sold for 90c.  Chocolate bars that are fair trade are only 20c more expensive.
