All Have Sinned All sin (1 K. 8:46; Rom. 3:23; 1 Jn. 1:7-10) There are many reasons why people sin But, why do “good” Christians sin? – Good Christians who hold a leadership role like preachers, elders, deacons, and Bible class teachers? – Good Christians who attend every service, read their Bible, and pray regularly?

3. Why Do Good Christians Sin? Good Christians may be unknowledgeable Good intentions may be mislead (Acts 8:18-19) But, all can know what God’s will is (Eph. 5:17)

4. Why Do Good Christians Sin? Good Christians may be influenced by evil companionships Good morals are corrupted (1 Cor. 15:33) But, peer pressure can and must be resisted (Psa. 1:1; Prov. 1:10; 13:20)

5. Why Do Good Christians Sin? Good Christians may listen to erroneous doctrines and follow after them Good teaching is replaced with error (2 Cor. 11:3-4; 2 Pet. 2:1ff; Jas. 5:19-20) But, false teaching must be identified and rejected (Rom. 16:17-18; 2 Jn. 9-11)

11. “Good” Christians? When “good” Christians sin they are no longer good! Let us remember that the devil does not want a sinner to become a saint (Christian), and he does not want a saint to remain sanctified (without sin)!
