4. Solution Back the trailer to the dock until it makes contact with the dock bumper. Roll forward 1” to 3”. This will create a gap between the trailer and the dock. When the trailer is dropped, it will not be in contact with the dock to cause damage. The gap between the trailer and dock is small enough not to cause any safety issues with the dock workers.
