Abraham Father of the Faithful Friend of God

Where is the Harmony of Genesis and Romans 4? We look at what we are now, God looks to what we will become.

“Is Anything Impossible with God?” Marriage problems Parent–child relationships A father whose heart in not turned to his children A mother who struggles with her God-blessed role A relationship breakdown A medical crisis Meeting financial needs Outside forces that effect our families Addictions/appetites A deep hurt or betrayal Old wounds Unforgiveness Bitterness The “vulnerability” of obeying God When do these become impossible with God? WHEN WE GIVE UP!

Philippians 1.5-6: 5 …in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

James 1.2-4: Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Romans 5.1-5: Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Micah 6.8: He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?

2 Thessalonians 3-4: We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater; therefore, we ourselves speak proudly of you among the churches of God for your perseverance and faith in the midst of all your persecutions and afflictions which you endure.
