Dutch baseball  The Dutch baseball originated in 1911, in the Dutch capital Amsterdam.  The National Federation of Dutch Baseball was founded in 1912, while the first Dutch league baseball began racing in 1922.  Today, the Dutch national team is the strongest in Europe.  The Netherlands won 5 times in a row (2000 to 2005) with the team of Rotterdam in the Europe Cup of Baseball.  The Dutch national team since 1950 has won 15 championships.

3. Dutch league baseball  The Dutch league baseball is the most competitive in Europe.  There’re eight participating teams, each of which plays 42 games during the season. Successively are played the playoffs and they decreed the champion of Holland.  The 2008 title was won by the Amsterdam Pirates.

National Baseball Team (Dutch)  The Dutch national baseball represents the Netherlands in international competition.  At the moment the Netherlands is the best player of baseball in Europe.  A state as small as the Netherlands is the best of the sport in Europe because the Dutch dependencies are in the Caribbean, specifically in Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles, where the baseball is very famous.

5. Baseball in the world  It's a very popular sport in North and Central America and East Asia.  In Europe the baseball is not very famous, only in some countries, for example France, Germany, Spain and Czech Republic.
