2
Futurism was an avant-garde art movement which was launched in Italy, in 1909. Futurism exalted the dynamism of the modern world, especially its science and technology. It emphasized and glorified themes associated with contemporary concepts of the future, including speed, technology, youth and violence, and objects such as the car, the aeroplane and the industrial city.
