2  Founded in 1986 by Allen Bailey after getting the idea at a celebration in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.  Contains the finest from Harlem’s Black Churches & New York/Tri-State area  Theme of every performance is: “bringing people & nations together & giving something back”.

3  Been in entertainment for over 40 years  Was promotional director & advance man for major recording artists & film star such as Mr. T, Lionel Richie & the Commodores, and Michael Jackson  Coordinated the fight between Mohammad Ali & George Foreman in Zaire

4  1990- performed for Nelson Mandela at Yankee Stadium  1995- performed for Pope John Paul II in Central Park, NYC  2001- performed with Diana Ross at US Open, Arthur Ashe Stadium, NYC  2003-performed with Whoopi Goldberg in NYC

5  2006- Mayor Bloomberg declares January 15 "Harlem Gospel Choir Day" in New York City  2007- The album New York Memories with Andre Rieu & Harlem Gospel Choir reaches 5X platinum status, Australia  2008- Appeared on Good Morning America's Coat drive and helped them to collect over 155,000 coats for the homeless

6  The older touring arm that has been blessed by Pope John Paul II in 2003  Toured Louisiana & Mississippi for the victims of Hurricane Katrina in 2005  First gospel group to travel to Lebanon in 2008
