Recognizing the Grace of God

As We Gather

As we gather may Your Spirit work within us As we gather may we glorify Your name

Knowing well that as our hearts begin to worship We'll be blessed because we came

Be Still My Soul You Raise Me Up

Be still, my soul! The Lord is on your side; Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.

Leave to your God to order and provide; in every change He faithful will remain.

Be still, my soul! The waves and winds still know, His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary; when troubles come and my heart burdened be;

Then I am still and wait here in the silence, until You come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up so I can stand on mountains. You raise me up To walk on stormy seas.

I am strong when I am on Your shoulders. You raise me up to more than I can be.

There is no life, no life without its hunger, each restless heart beats so imperfectly.

But when You come, and I am filled with wonder, sometimes I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up so I can stand on mountains. You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.

I am strong when I am on Your shoulders. You raise me up to more than I can be.

You raise me up so I can stand on mountains. You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.

I am strong when I am on Your shoulders (on Your shoulders).

You raise me up, to more than I can be.

Let All Things Now Living Hymn 440

Let all things now living a song of thanksgiving To God the Creator triumphantly raise,

Who fashioned and made us, protected and stayed us, Who guideth us on to the end of our days.

His banners are o’er us, His light goes before us, A pillar of fire shining forth in the night,

‘Til shadows have vanished and darkness is banished, as forward we travel from light into light.

His law He enforces: the stars in their courses, The sun in His orbit, obediently shine;

The hills and the mountains, the rivers and fountains, The deeps of the ocean proclaim Him divine,

We too should be voicing our love and rejoicing, With glad adoration a song let us raise,

‘Til all things now living unite in thanksgiving To God in the highest, hosanna and praise

He’s Everything to Me Hymn 528

In the stars His handiwork I see, On the wind He speaks with majesty, Though He ruleth over land and sea, What is that to me?

I will celebrate my liberty, And the wonder of His death for me, Sure, He came to set His people free, What is that to me?

Till by faith I met Him face to face and I felt the wonder of His grace

Then I knew that He was more than just a God who didn't care, That lived a way out there and

Now He walks beside me day by day, Ever watching o'er me lest I stray, Helping me to find that narrow way, He's Everything to me.

Till by faith I met Him face to face and I felt the wonder of His grace

Then I knew that He was more than just a God who didn't care, That lived a way out there and

Now He walks beside me day by day, Ever watching o'er me lest I stray

Helping me to find that narrow way, He's Everything to me.

And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God Blessed are Those Who Do the Will of God Revelations 21:3

Responding to the Kingdom of Heaven

There’s a Great Day Coming Hymn 87

There’s a great day coming, a great day coming, There’s a great day coming by and by;

When the saints and the sinners shall be parted right and left, Are you ready for that day to come?

Are you ready? Are you ready for the judgment day?

Are you ready? For the judgment day?

There’s a sad day coming, a sad day coming, There’s a sad day coming by and by;

When the sinner shall hear his doom: “Depart, I know you not,” Are you ready for that day to come?

Are you ready? Are you ready for the judgment day?

Are you ready? For the judgment day?

Moses Han When I was in 6th grade, I remembered this kid in my class who was smart, with good grades and knew all the right answers.

I had a hard time understanding why he loved taking tests. But later on, I realized what set him apart from the rest of us "normal" kids was that he was the kid who always studied hard for every test and prepared his homework in advance before every class. Maybe he does have higher IQ than some of us, but he always came fully prepared.

Now when we sing this hymn, let us keep in mind that the real purpose here is to encourage everyone to be prepared and ready. When the final day comes and we are fully prepared, it will not be a dreadful day. Just like my 6th grade classmate, it will be a bright day, it will be "A Great Day Coming."

There’s a bright day coming, a bright day coming, There’s a bright day coming by and by;

Are you ready? Are you ready for the judgment day?

Are you ready? For the judgment day?

There’s a bright day coming, a bright day coming, There’s a bright day coming by and by;

But its brightness shall only come to them that love the Lord. Are you ready for that day to come?

Are you ready? Are you ready for the judgment day?

Are you ready? For the judgment day?

Hear, O Lord Psalm 86

Hear, O LORD, and answer, I am poor and needy, guard my life for I am devoted to You.

Hear my prayer, O LORD, and my cry for mercy, In this day of my trouble I will call to You.

Teach me, O LORD, I will walk in Your truth, give me an undivided heart.

Nations You've made will worship You for You alone are the living God.

I will praise You, glorify Your name, O LORD, I will praise You, glorify Your name, O LORD.

I Am Resolved Hymn 516

I am resolved no longer to linger, Charmed by the world's delight;

Things that are higher, things that are nobler, These have allured my sight.

I will hasten to Him, Hasten so glad and free; Jesus, Greatest, Highest, I will come to Thee.

I am resolved to go to the Saviour, Leaving my sin and strife;

He is the true One, He is the just One, He hath the words of life.

I will hasten to Him, Hasten so glad and free; Jesus, Greatest, Highest, I will come to Thee.

I am resolved to follow the Saviour, Faithful and true each day;

Heed what He sayeth, do what He willeth, He is the living way.

I will hasten to Him, Hasten so glad and free; Jesus, Greatest, Highest, I will come to Thee.

I am resolved to enter the Kingdom, Leaving the paths of sin;

Friends may oppose me, foes may beset me, Still will I enter in.

I will hasten to Him, Hasten so glad and free; Jesus, Greatest, Highest, I will come to Thee.

I am resolved, and who will go with me? Come, friends, without delay,

Taught by the Bible, led by the Spirit, We’ll walk the heavenly way.

I will hasten to Him, Hasten so glad and free; Jesus, Greatest, Highest, I will come to Thee.
