2. Sereď City lies in the southwestern part of the Slovak Republic on the right side of the river Váh.Váh is the longest river of the Slovakia. Here isn't raining a lot because the town is one of the hottest and driest area in Slovakia. The coldest month is January and the warmest July. In the summer is here over 30°C or more. In winter the snow cover have over 25 cm of snow. The area has a high number of sunshine (over 2012 hours of the year)

3. History Historically, the most important building of the city, Sereď mansion is now in ruins. Through sered was going first horse railway from Rakúsko-Uhorsko to Trnava.In Sereď was waterway too. People traveled through Vah by rafts. In the past here was a company for producing sweets (Sedita) and moved here from Bratislava company Hubert. Now is Sereď famous in the Slovakia becouse of the champagne and sweets.

4. Church In Sereď is church st. John Babtist. It is built on place where was old church. The old church burnt many times. After last fire in 1777 give earl Esterhazy built a new one. The new church was built in 1781 and it is standing till now.

5. Culture Every year during the summer in areas of the City Museum are lot of concerts in lot of styles of music. One of the most Sereď and Slovak jazz bands Dixieland include Sereď, who regularly performs at the concerts.

6. Mansion Historically, the most important building of the city, Sereď mansion, standing on the place where was standing famous Šintava Castle. In 1642 was bought by earl Mikuláš Esterházy. It costed 250 000 florins. Now the mansion is in ruins and town wants to repair it as soon as possible.

7. Schools In Sereď is four primary schools and two secondary schools. I am going to Ján Amos Komenský primary school. The next primary schools: J.Fándly primary school P.O.Hviezdoslav primary school St. Method and Ciril primary school Secondary schools: Vojtech Mihálik gymnasium Bussines academy
