Bridge Administration (G-PWB) CONCLUSION The Bridge Program facilitates safe and efficient intermodal transportation. Coast Guard failure to keep waterways open will negatively affect U.S. commercial maritime traffic, naval / emergency vessels, and Coast Guard vessels / functions. In reality, the Coast Guard will continue to properly manage the nation’s waterways, and conflicts will be resolved in a balanced manner.
