2 Brief Facts on Fiji Islands  Area: 18,376 sq km (7056 sq miles)  Population: approximately 854,000 people made up of indigenous Fijians (50%), Indians (47%) with Europeans, Chinese and South Pacific Islanders making up the remaining 3%. As per UN survey 2005.  Religion: Majority a Christianity, small percentage are Muslim, Hinduism.  Capital: is the Suva city located in the eastern part of the main Viti Levu island.  Visitor Arrivals: 2003 - 430,800 2004 - 504,075 2005 - 545,145 2007 – 539,881
