2. The aim of this experiment was to find out which liquid dissolves lolly snakes the fastest and how long the different liquids take to dissolve the lolly snakes. Our hypothesis is that the Vinegar, Boiling Water and lemon Juice would dissolve the lolly fastest, Plain water and orange Juice the slowest.

4. 5 lolly snakes Five 50ml beakers Stopwatch 60ml of water 20ml of pure lemon juice 20ml of pure orange juice 20ml of vinegar Bunsen burner Gauze mat Tripod Matches Heat proof mat Step 1-Collect apparatus Step 2-Set up equipment Step 3-Fill 2 beakers with 30ml water then fill the remaining beakers with the other liquids Step 4- Heat one of the water filled beakers to boiling point Step 5- Start a timer and put a snake in each beaker Step 6- Record your results in a table like shown on next slide, stating what you see is happening

7. We have concluded that the effects of acids on lolly snakes causes the exterior of the lolly to silicify and go slimy as the gel and sugar of the lolly dissolves into mush.
