5 Automated Secure Vessel Tracking System (ASVTS) A Vessel Tracking System developed by the Maritime Information Services of North America that employs satellite and AIS transmissions as well as other information sources to track the locations of vessels to aid Maritime Security, Safety, Efficiency and Environmental Protection

6 Tracking Systems Offshore Tracking: MISNA has been using various satellite communications systems to track vessels for over 7 years. AIS (Automatic Identification System) MISNA has developed a AIS network presently comprised of over 150 receiving sites that track over 3,000 vessels daily sailing in U.S. coastal areas. M I S N A
