An Adventure Based Experiential Learning and Team Building Workshop

This team building and experiential learning workshop takes one away from the familiar environment and places students into an environment of experimentation. Therefore this allows participants to be challenged, to think about and experiment with new concepts, and to take some risks (calculated).

Importance of team building  Task Achievement  Quality of Decisions  Accuracy of Decisions  Risk taking  Motivation

Synchronization The essence of this programme is that the members of the team, work well together either as a group from the outset or initially simply compliment each other as individuals in which case the team building process will progress smoothly. The potential compatibility of any particular individual with the rest of the team will be critically important for the team to succeed.

Activities that we conduct Trust fall Trust fall is a classic activity because it is so effective at helping a team to explore the issue of trust. Each member has to fall backwards from a height of 5ft on the stretched arms of his/her team members.

Learn to tie Knots  This allows the students to use the rope for many special purposes. Like to let them tie into the rope, anchor themselves and also to join ropes of equal and unequal diameters.

Parallel Ropes These are two parallel lines tied at a certain height in which the students will have to cross from one side to the other, holding the top line and balancing with their feet on the bottom line. This activity develops compassion, empathy, communication and cooperation amongst group members.

Parallel Ropes

Monkey Crawling This is an activity which requires a lot of physical strength and determination. Each member has to traverse on a thick jute rope using the arm and calf muscles. During the activity a belay is tied for safety reasons.

Swing Ladder Climbing A comparatively easy activity which involves climbing a ladder made of ropes and bamboos freely suspended from a tight wire swinging in air. The height of the ladder can go up to 10 mtrs.

Burma Bridge An improvised bridge made of ropes, used to cross rivers, crags and gorges’ during the Burmese war. This activity increases self confidence of the participants. If tied loose, this is not as easy as it appears to be.

Double Jumaring Jumaring is a method of climbing vertical ropes using mechanical devices known as ‘Jumars’ (ascenders). The key to Jumaring is to grasp the correct technique in the beginning; otherwise it takes away the entire strength of the arms

Tent Pitching and use of improvised shelters. Participants learn the art of pitching ‘A’ shape tents, selecting the campsite and the concepts of tents as an alternate means of shelter in the wilderness.

Twine Twine is a rope course in which the students have to cross from one side to the other holding the dangling lines suspended from a horizontal rope on top. This requires the students to stretch their arms to the extreme to reach the suspended ropes.

Tyrolean Traverse This is a method of crossing rivers in the mountains. The participants are anchored with the harness to a fixed horizontal line and have to pull their body weight from one side to the other using the strength of their arms.

Cat Walk Participants are required to balance on their fours on the two ropes tied adjacent to each other. This challenge allows the participants to expand their comfort zone and recognize fears that may block personal achievements

Single Jumaring Learning to climb vertical ropes with the use of a single jumar attached to the harness of the climber.

Net Climbing A member is required to climb a matrix of ropes. This activity provides fun fitness challenge at each individual students pace.
