2. Observations Aula Info 4 is a strange shape. There is room for at most 28 workstations. We need to have a control room containing the server and desks. It seems to be the case that screens between the subjects can not descend from the ceiling but must be integral to the units.

3. Outline of Plan There will be a Control Room. There will be five banks of units (workstations) – 3 on one side and 2 on the other. Each bank will be curved. There will be two big screens, one at each side, and two ceiling-mounted projectors. The decoration of the lab needs to be discussed.

4. Control Room There will be a control room on the right when entering. It will contain shelving and desking and the server for the network. It should have a wall – the bottom part of which is wood and the top half one-way glass. I do not think it can have a door.

5. Individual Units For each subject we need an individual unit consisting of a desk and screening. The desk shape is important. The CPU is to be stored under the desk. The computer (flat-) screen should fold away into the surface of the desk when not in use. The screens are crucial.

6. Screens in the units Each unit needs two screens – one in front of the subject and the other on the long side of the desk. The screens should be light (in weight), translucent and of an agreeable colour. The should slide up and down and should be 75 cm in height – almost invisible when down and screening the subject when up.

New screens for the workstations (preferably with built-in video camera). A server, two projectors and two screens. Software (and wiring) for the local network. Wall and furnishing for the Control Room – desks, shelves and chairs. Painting and decorating.
