MVRT

 Machinist Lead - Mark  Chassis Design Lead – Roy  Chassis Inventor Lead – Parth  Manipulator 1 Inventor Lead – Jimin  Manipulator 1 Prototype Lead – Jonathan  Manipulator 2 Inventor Lead – Benjamin  Manipulator 2 Prototype Lead – Patricia

 Have fun but do not make fun of each other  Even if you have your jokes in front of each other but not in front of the team Ex. Height  No physical harassment

 You are managers, NOT the ones physically doing the work  Reasons: Work should be distributed You will have too much work if you do it yourself All members should get work if they come  Give members work to do at home if they are willing Doing it yourself is last priority

 Create a “U” around a white board  Everyone has input  Leads stand against the board  All students have paper/LEGO to brainstorm with

 Design not moving parts to moving parts  Ex. Minibot release  Important to make the best design

 Include sensors in the design  When asking for the name of the sensors:  Know purpose What it needs to do? Specifics provided  Know location

 Table of Content  Detailed Table of Content  Job Description  Prototype 1  Drawings Scratch Final  Parts list  Design Review  Prototype 2  Drawings Scratch Final  Parts list  Design Review  Daily Inventor update  Files in progress  Uploaded online?  Finished?  Order list

 Add to order form as soon as you know you need them  Kumar will put in a daily order

 Organize in red toolboxes for tool crate  One toolbox for each group Label it before build  Keep organized Should not hear “I can’t find this part”

 Put tools back as they are used  Should not find tools laying around  Culture instill now = culture in future  Cleaner room  Greater productivity Less time spent in finding parts Less time spent in clean up at end

 “Don’t worry about it”  I do not want you saying this Explain to people unless absolutely necessary  Pass up questions  Ex. Pit Do not answer questions but tell them to ask Kumar Kumar will answer most questions and he will pass them up to me as needed

 Email whole group  What was done that day  What needs to be done the next day Any other deadlines  How far ahead/behind you are on the schedule  If you have any questions that are troubling you  Send email update right after arriving home  Answer any questions whenever you have time  No time is too late

 Tell absences as early as possible  Email Nupur, Kumar, and your co-lead any absences you know of already  Email Nupur, Kumar, and your co-lead in advance  Email any active members of your group and cc Kumar and Nupur in  Include What needs to be done How many people will do each task Mention any specific people if applicable  Send email every day absent
