5. PURPOSE of the Internship Program RECRUIT TRAIN MENTOR and PLACE the next generation of community college faculty and counselors. ULTIMATE GOAL: A Faculty that mirrors the diversity of California’s people.

7. Phases of the Internship Program 11 Month Program PHASE 1: Application, screening, paired with mentors PHASE 2: Summer Institute Course PHASE 3: Fall Semester-Interns “shadow” their mentors+Institute meetings PHASE 4: Spring Semester—Interns teach own section+ Institute meetings, graduate.
