2. WLO participated in the Second Annual IVCC Staff Arts & Crafts Fair on November 16, 2006. We featured Fair Trade Weavings and Beadworks from Maya Works. The women of the Lake Atitlán region of Guatemala benefit directly from the sale of these beautiful crafts.

8. The WLO Sale was a success! We were able to raise funds for the artists and weavers of Lake Atitlán. We raised a small profit for WLO activities for IVCC students and the Illinois Valley community. Students had a first-hand opportunity to experience Maya culture beyond their textbooks.
