Sickle-Cell Anemia Homozygous Dominant (HbA, HbA) – normal hemoglobin Homozygous Recessive (HbS, HbS) – abnormal hemoglobin Heterozygous (Hb A, Hb S) – normal and abnormal hemoglobin – normal hemoglobin more abundant Note: Hemoglobin is a protein in red blood cells carrying oxygen.
