Everyday Happiness

Philippians 3:1 (NIV) …my brothers (my family), rejoice in The Lord!

Philippians 3:2 (NIV) Watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh.

Philippians 3:3 (LB) …we Christians glory (take pride in) in what Jesus has done for us and realize that we are helpless to save ourselves.

Everyday Happiness Relax in God’s Grace

Philippians 3:3 (MSG) We couldn’t carry this off by our own efforts, and we know it!

Walter Marshall “By nature, you are completely addicted to a legal method of salvation. Even after you become a Christian by believing the Gospel, your heart is still addicted to salvation by works… You find it hard to believe that you should get any blessing before you work for it.”

Henry Cloud “ “ Grace is unbroken, uninterrupted, unearned, accepting relationship”

Philippians 3:9 (NLT) But I no longer count on my own goodness or my ability to obey God’s law. Instead, I trust Christ to save me! For God’s way of making us right with himself is through faith!

“Lord, I just want to remind myself that I’m completely in your hands- nothing I’ve done and nothing I can do today will make you love me any more than you already do.”

Everyday Happiness Relax in God’s Grace Remember What Matters Most

Philippians 3:7 (NLT) All the things that I once thought were so important to me, I now consider worth nothing because of Christ.

Philippians 3:5-6 (NLT) I was circumcised when I was eight days old. I am a pure-blooded citizen of Israel and a member of the tribe of Benjamin- a real Hebrew if there ever was one! I was a member of the Pharisees, who demand the strictest obedience to the Jewish law. I was so zealous that I harshly persecuted the church. And as for righteousness, I obeyed the law without fault.

Philippians 3:8 (NLT) Yes, everything else is worthless compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I may have Christ and become one with him.

Remember What Matters Most Relationship - Get to Know Jesus Better

Philippians 3:10-11 (NIV) I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his suffering, becoming like him in his death so that somehow I also may be raised to life.

Philippians 3:10-11 (AMP) For my determined purpose is that I may know Christ- that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding him more strongly and more clearly…

Lord, help me today to order my day around the things that really matter and if I don’t get anything else done today, help me to get to know you a little bit better.

Everyday Happiness Relax in God’s Grace Remember What Matters Most Review Where I Need to Grow

Philippians 3:12-13 (LB) I don’t mean to say I am perfect. I still haven’t learned all I should, but I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ saved me for and wants me to be.

2 Corinthians 13:5 (MSG) Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it.

Everyday Happiness Relax in God’s Grace Remember What Matters Most Review Where I Need to Grow Reach - Forget What Can’t Be Changed and Focus on The Future

Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT) I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Jesus Christ, is calling us…

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) Forget the former things and do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing!

Philippians 3:19-20 (NIV) For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
