10 A CALL TO REFOCUS The NEDLAC agenda towards a healthier labour relations outcome

11 A MATTER OF PRIORITIES EXAMPLE (Simplistic view) What is more important?  Strikes / violence / intimidation / expensive conditions of employment & wages OR  Incentives / initiatives to create jobs / grow the economy

12 PRIORITIES The starting point remains NEDLAC and effective government intervention  “Meeting of minds” for effective decisions  Longer-term approach  Building of trust  Pro-active approach NOT WHAT FOLLOWED MARIKANA! (2012)
