Centurion’s Character
“Enemies” spoke well of him And when they came to Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying that the one for whom He should do this was deserving, "for he loves our nation, and has built us a synagogue." (Luke 7:4-5) Friends who helped him Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, "Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof. (Luke 7:6)

Concerned About A Slave (Luke 7:2) Then He also said to him who invited Him, "When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. "But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. "And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just." (Luke 14:12-14)

Centurion’s Faith Where did his faith come from?
So when he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, pleading with Him to come and heal his servant. (Luke 7:3) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)

And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place… (2 Peter 1:19) Apostles This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. (Acts 2:32) Miracles of Christ And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.
