10 Youth Restorative Justice Service This service is for young people between the ages of 8 and 16 years who have been charged by the police and referred to the Children’s Reporter. The Children’s Reporter then refers to Sacro as an alternative to a Children’s Hearing. The service focuses on what needs to be done to address the harm caused by the young person’s offending behaviour by facilitating communication between the young person and the person harmed by this behaviour either directly or indirectly.

11 Community Based Reparation Community based reparation (CBR) takes place when a person responsible for an offence agrees to complete practical voluntary work at the request of the person harmed as a reparation for the harm caused. The service provides the opportunity for people responsible and people harmed by crime to participate in a restorative process. The service focuses on facilitating meaningful and practical voluntary work for the person responsible
