2  All women and children belong to one tribe  Seminole women worked near the camp and took care of the children  The men hunted all day  In the early summer there is a festival called The Green Corn Dance  Each family had two buildings

4  They lived near the Everglades  Lived in northern Florida  They lived in open sided huts called chickees  They slept in hammocks  The main building had two rooms

6  The Seminole were very big on gardening  Every family had their own garden and contributed to the community garden  The men fished and hunted often catching fish and alligators  They gathered corn to make hominy, used to make cornbread or porridge  The men also hunted squirrels and other native animals

8  The men wore turbans on their heads  The woman wore necklaces that were very heavy  The men wore ruffled coats during the cold months  The woman wore crop top like shirts  Children wore dresses until three, then the boys got pants
