Poor in Spirit Receive the Kingdom Humble, seeking God’s forgiveness If not humble: proud, deny sin, make alibis Wife observes humble spirit toward God & fellowman—leads her Humility & harmony go hand in hand 7 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

They Who Mourn Are Comforted Grieve, godly sorrow, repent of sin Accept our sins, know they assault & offend God Wife observes he accepts his sin, seeks forgiveness—leads her Desire to correct sins leads to harmony 8 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Meek Inherit the Earth (Blessed in Full) Yielding, gentle spirit submits to God Yielding, cooperative spirit to all men Wife observes he yields to the right & corrects his sins—leads her Meek spirit leads to harmony 9 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Those Hungering for Righteousness Filled Deepest desire to be right with God Seeks to be right with all men Wife observes he loves to do right & be in right relationship—leads her To be right with God & man yields harmony 10 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

The Merciful Obtain Mercy Kindness, good-will, forgiving, helping Seeks God’s mercy, shows mercy to all men Wife observes his kind, compassionate, merciful spirit—leads her A merciful spirit leads to harmony 11 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

12 I. Character in the Kingdom F. The Pure in Heart Enter God’s Family Single focus on doing right, not loving sin Example of purity not corruption to all men Wife observes his purity in heart & life— leads her Purity leads to harmony 12 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Peacemakers Are God’s Children Seek peace, reconciliation, harmony Seeks to be at peace with God & all men Wife observes his love of peace & skill in making peace—leads her Love of peace leads to harmony 13 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Those Who Suffer to Obey God Enter Put God & truth above self Wants to obey God regardless of cost Wife observes his total commitment to God & truth—leads her Commitment to God leads to harmony 14 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
