4  If word ends in a… consonant (non-vowel) ▪ other than n or s  Stress is on the last syllable.  Examples: verdad, papel, beber

5 If the word breaks rule 1, it needs an accent mark. - comí -miércoles -estación

6 If the word breaks Rule 2, it needs an accent mark. -lápiz-árbol -difícil
