5.  When a car travelling at high speed crashes into a light pole, the pole is damaged because of the force applied to it by the car.  Why is the car also damaged?  Newton’s third law states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The pole will apply a reactive force to the car which causes the damage. 5
