Department of Internal Combustion Engineering SRI VENKATESWARA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

ABOUT COLLEGE Sri Venkateswara college of Engineering is a unit of Sri Venkateswara Educational and Health Trust. The College runs undergraduate and postgraduates program in Engineering. All courses run by the college are approved by the Tamilnadu Government and All India Council for Technical Education and are affiliated to Anna University. This college is an ISO 9001:2000 Certified institution.

MISSION To develop SVCE into a “CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE” offering Engineering Education to men and women at undergraduate and postgraduate degree levels, bringing out their total personality, emphasizing ethical values and preparing them to meet the growing challenges of the industry and diverse societal needs of our nation.

INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINEERING Internal Combustion Engineering is one of the post graduate programs run by the college. The major objective of the department is to achieve academic excellence along with harmonious development of personality. The Program provides an excellent infrastructure in the form of state-of-art labs and a fully equipped library.

INFRASTRUCTURE The Internal combustion engineering division has the following laboratory facilities for providing us the opportunity to equip ourselves with technical knowledge as well as update ourselves periodically ENGINE TESTING LABORATORY- Three Cylinder Petrol Engine, Twin Cylinder Diesel Engine, Single Cylinder Petrol Engine, Single Cylinder Diesel Engine ENGINE RESEARCH CENTRE- Eddy Current Dynamometer, AVL Indimeter with software, Smoke meter, Exhaust Gas Analyzer ENGINE COMPONENT LABORATORY- Ashok Leyland Engine, Tata-Benz Engine, Maruthi Engine, Hyundai Engine, Ambassador Engine, Dolphin Engine, Bullet, Chetak Engine.
