3 2014 Project Recommendation List Project NameCL Funds Request Commercial Property Façade Improvement Program $100,000.00 Downtown Development Commission request to a matching grant up to $20,000 for properties in the Main Street Maryland- designated district and the Central Business District. HRDC Virginia Avenue Parking Lot $100,000.00 HRDC has acquired 232-234 Virginia Avenue through a property donation and plans to demolish it. The Community Legacy funds are requested to construct a parking lot at this location.

4 2014 Project Recommendation List Project NameCL Funds Request Canal Place Building C Rehabilitation$70,000.00 Funds would provide for the construction of vending windows and awnings at the rear of the tenant spaces in Building C of the Shops at Canal Place. Cumberland Neighborhood Housing Services - Blue Spring Stabilization $60,000.00 Funds will allow for the stabilization of the Blue Spring in the 400 Block of North Mechanic Street. The site is adjacent to the Canada Hose House and will make the green space more attractive for the neighborhood.

5 2014 Project Recommendation List Project NameCL Funds Request South Cumberland Library Renovation$150,000.00 The project improve accessibility, mechanical and safety systems, upgrade equipment and furnishings, as well as to reconfigure space to allow for community meetings and library programming to occur simultaneously. Allegany College of Maryland Softball Field$121,000.00 The project improve accessibility, mechanical and safety systems, upgrade equipment and furnishings, as well as to reconfigure space to allow for community meetings and library programming to occur simultaneously.

6 Community Legacy Projects must be consistent with the Sustainable Communities Plan and must be located within the Sustainable Communities boundaries Communities are no longer required to prioritize the requested projects Resolution by the Mayor and City Council is a required component of the application process Applications are required to be submitted no later than July 15, 2014 Announcements are expected later in the year.
