Social Work Safety Social Work Safety Public Act 098-0529 (SB 1609) Signed into law 8/23/13 – Governor Pat Quinn Expands protections for social workers working in state positions of employment & would make it a crime to threaten state-employed or state contracted social workers while acting in their capacity as a social worker.
