2
Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-two
1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2 He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. 3 Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. 4 Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road. 5 "When you enter a house, first say, 'Peace to this house.'

Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-two
6 If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you. 7 Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. 8 "When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. 9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom of God is near you.'

Principle 1: Everyone Gets to Play
Luke 9:1 When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, 2 and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. Luke 10:1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom of God is near you.'

Principle 1: Everyone Gets to Play
Acts 1:15 In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."
6
Principle 1: Everyone Gets to Play
The availability of the Kingdom of God is not limited We are all called to be active participants In our Services you are invited to pray Go home and pray for your sick neighbor God gives us all the gifts (1 Corinth 14:31) Inviting others to join us as we pray (mentoring) Jesus sent them to “every town” not every synagogue
7
Principle 2: The Kingdom is Particularly in the World
Luke 10:1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. We are the sent out ones Where is the Kingdom breaking in 80% of Canadians don’t attend Church regularly
8
Principle 2: The Kingdom is Particularly in the World
Luke 10:2 He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Luke 10:27 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' God has placed us where we are at home and at work. Who’s your neighbor? Edward
9
Principle 3: We are to join what the Father is doing
Luke 10:5 "When you enter a house, first say, 'Peace to this house.‘ 6 If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you. We are to work with those people who exhibit peace which is a characteristic of the Kingdom Where is the Father leading us?
10
Principle 3: We are to join what the Father is doing
People of peace (who don’t go to Church) will invite us into their homes We can build relationship/pray for the sick Don’t assume everyone will be saved Who has the characteristics found in the Kingdom: loves their neighbor; has peace; shows kindness
11
Principle 3: We are to join what the Father is doing
Organic Church by Neil Cole The good soil (Matthew 13:1-23 The Parable of the 4 Soils) is most likely the drunk down the street, or whoever is destitute, as opposed to what we usually think in terms of appearance Remember it’s the upside down Kingdom
12
Principle 4: Giving and Receiving
Luke 10:4 Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road. 5 "When you enter a house, first say, 'Peace to this house.' 7 Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. 8 "When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you.
13
Principle 4: Giving and Receiving
We have a responsibility to tithe, give and share what we have for the work of the Kingdom. Our problem is that we don’t believe there is enough. What is God calling me to do? Our discernment process Am I being held back from that because of the fear of a lack of resources?
14
Principle 4: Giving and Receiving
We need to trust God for the resources and step out in whatever degree of faith we have.
15
Principle 5: The Kingdom is more than words, it is signs and wonders
Luke 10:9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom of God is near you.‘ The phrase “Heal the sick” comes before “tell them” Power Evangelism (subtitled Signs and Wonders Today) by John Wimber It built the New Testament Church and continues to build the Church today
16
Principle 5: The Kingdom is more than words, it is signs and wonders
We have relied too heavily on reason and preaching the word Limited success We need to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and step out with the gifts

The Kingdom is particularly in the World We are to join what the Father is doing Giving and Receiving The Kingdom is more than words, it is signs and wonders
