1. Isioma’s Baptism

2. Isioma’s family and friends have been invited to celebrate his baptism at Holy Family Church.

3. Even though he is a tiny baby, Isioma still has lots of friends.

4. Isioma wore white clothing and was wrapped in a white shawl. It was the same shawl that his big cousin mark had been wrapped in when he was baptised.

5. Fr. Fred welcomed everyone to the mass.

6. Fr. Fred asked “what name do you give your child?” and his parents replied “Isioma”.

7. Isioma’s parents said that they would help him to be a friend of Jesus. Fr. Fred poured water over Isioma’s head and said “Isioma, I baptise you.”

8. Isioma cried when the water was poured on his head, but he soon went back to sleep agian.

9. He was still asleep when his Godfather’s lit the special candle that the priest had given them.

10. Isioma is a friend of Jesus. His Parents, Godfather’s and Godmother will help him to be a good friend.

11. Isioma’s family and friends gathered at the party to celebrate his baptism.

12. His Mum and Dad were there.

13. I am Isioma’s aunt so I was there too with Mr Gillespie and Mark.

14. His Nanna was there (she prepared lots of food for the buffet).

15. His Nan and Grandad and cousins all the way from Nigeria were there too.

16. His uncles and aunts were with their children.

17. It was a great day!
