22 Pebblebrook/CCCEPA Admissions Process Please note: Due to the audition component, the admissions timeline for Pebblebrook is different from the other Cobb County magnet programs. October 10 - Fall Performing Arts Open House – Cobb Civic Center (7:30pm) November - March – Informational meetings and auditions are held on the campuses of all Cobb County middle schools. Auditions may also be scheduled at Pebblebrook High School. Two weeks prior to audition - Applications and supporting documents are due to 8 th grade counselors. March 27 - Notification of acceptance April 17 - Contracts due May 13 - Performing Arts Open House

23 Profile of a Magnet Student Highly motivated Academically focused Strongly committed to learning Able to articulate ideas and analyze data Possesses varied skills across the curriculum areas

24 Admissions Eighth grade students residing in the Cobb County School District are eligible to apply for freshman admission into any magnet program Applicants will be evaluated on demonstrated strengths in the following areas:  Middle school grades  Teacher recommendations  Standardized test scores  Readistep (PSSS for out-of-district students) or audition scores (based on program)  Written communication skills

25 Admissions The readistep TM test will be administered to all 8 th graders in Cobb County during October at your middle school This test will count as a key component of your Magnet Admissions score Go to http://readistep.collegeboard.org for more information about this test
