1. I Belong to ????? I find that many people think they have a right to live their life the way they so desire. At the same time, they feel that don’t have to answer to anyone. I want to investigate the scriptures and see what God has said about this subject in His Word. Understand that IF HE is the Creator, and the sole source of authority in the UNIVERSE, that His comments are the final word on the subject. For he is the ruler of ALL THINGS!!

2. People are God’s Le 18:4 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God. Le 18:30 Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God. Le 20:26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. Le 22:9 They shall therefore keep mine ordinance, lest they bear sin for it, and die therefore, if they profane it: I the LORD do sanctify them. Le 25:23 The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me. Nu 3:13 Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the LORD.

3. Job on this subject Job 3:10 Because it shut not up the doors of my mother’s womb, nor hid sorrow from mine eyes. Job 6:11 What is my strength, that I should hope? and what is mine end, that I should prolong my life? Job 7:7 O remember that my life is wind: mine eye shall no more see good. Job 7:21 And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust; and thou shalt seek me in the morning, but I shall not be. Job 9:20 If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse. Job 10:6 That thou enquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest after my sin? Job 10:14 If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity. Job 10:15 If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction; Job 13:14 Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand? Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. Job 13:23 How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.

4. David on the subject Ps 5:8 Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face. Ps 7:8 The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me. Ps 26:1 « A Psalm of David. » Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide. Ps 26:3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth. Ps 32:5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

Solomon on the subject Ec 1:16 I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge. Ec 2:1 I said in mine heart, Go to now, I will prove thee with mirth, therefore enjoy pleasure: and, behold, this also is vanity. Ec 2:3 I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine, yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, till I might see Ec 2:10 And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour. Ec 3:17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work. Ec 3:18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. Ec 7:25 I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness: Ec 8:16 When I applied mine heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon the earth: (for also there is that neither day nor night seeth sleep with his eyes:)

6. Prophets on the subject Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. Hab 1:12 Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction. Zep 3:8 Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. Hag 2:8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.

7. Jesus on the subject Mt 20:15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Lu 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business? Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. Joh 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. Joh 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. Joh 8:50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. Acts on the subject Ac 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. Ac 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; Ac 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Judgment is Coming Eccl. 12:12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. 13 ¶ Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. 2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

10. God in Charge Ps 104:19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down. Job 14:5 Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass; Job 7:1 Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling? Pr 8:29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

11. Conclusion God is our Eternal Creator, and thus all things are His. He has set the order of all things, their bounds and their activities. Thus, God has ordered our lives to be established by His will. All Creation act according to His purpose, His design, and act accordingly. We are to be judged according to our actions, and how we followed His Will. No one will escape His determinations. His Word is final. Men of old understand this fact.
