The Most Hated Book "But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. (John 15:21 NKJV) "But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, 'They hated Me without a cause.' (John 15:25 NKJV)

The Most Hated Book It speaks with authority from God (Heb. 1:1,2). ▫God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; (Hebrews 1:1-2 NKJV) ▫Matthew 28:18

The Most Hated Book It speaks the same message to all without favoritism. ▫And if you invoke as Father him who judges each one impartially according to his deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile. (1 Peter 1:17 RSV) ▫Hebrews 2:1-4 ▫All Have Sinned! (Romans 3:23) ▫All Must Repent! (Acts 17:30,31)

The Most Hated Book It knows what is in man (Heb. 4:12,13). ▫For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And before him no creature is hidden, but all are open and laid bare to the eyes of him with whom we have to do. (Hebrews 4:12-13 RSV) ▫John 3:19-21

The Most Hated Book It condemns the evil in man. ▫For every one who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does what is true comes to the light, that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been wrought in God. (John 3:20- 21 RSV) ▫But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the LORD; and be sure your sin will find you out. (Numbers 32:23 RSV)

The Most Hated Book It cuts to the heart (Heb. 4:12). (Hebrews 4:12- 13 RSV)

The Most Hated Book It warns of judgment on the disobedient (Heb. 12:23; 13:4). Most people dislike the thought of being judged for their sins. ▫and to the assembly of the first-born who are enrolled in heaven, and to a judge who is God of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, (Hebrews 12:23 RSV) ▫Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled; for God will judge the immoral and adulterous. (Hebrews 13:4 RSV) They shall suffer the punishment of eternal destruction and exclusion from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, (2 Thessalonians 1:9 RSV) "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him--the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. (John 12:48 NKJV)

The Book of The Almighty God! For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life, (Proverbs 6:23 RSV)

The Gospel Is In It! For I am not ashamed of the gospel: it is the power of God for salvation to every one who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16 RSV) "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 NKJV)

The Most Hated Book A principal in New York scolded a five year old for handing out gospel tracts. A teacher in another school rebuked a child for writing "I love God" on her hand. Some schools supply contraceptives to students but prohibit Bible studies on campus. Why do so many hate the Bible and what it stands for? 1) It speaks with authority from God (Heb. 1:1,2). While the Christian enjoys certainty in an uncertain world, the sinner despises authority that threatens severe punishment. 2) It speaks the same message to all without favoritism (Heb. 2:1-4). God is not impressed with our popularity, our bank accounts, or our social standing. All have sinned (Rom. 3:23). All must repent (Acts l7:30,31). 3) It knows what is in man (Heb. 4:12,13). The last thing a sinner wants is for someone to spotlight his transgressions (John 3:19-21). 4) It condemns the evil in man (Heb. 3:4). Our permissive society condones the worst crimes and winks at criminal behavior by blaming circumstances for the state of lawlessness. 5) It cuts to the heart (Heb. 4:12). A guilty conscience is an unpleasant companion. 6) It warns of judgment on the disobedient (Heb. 12:23; 13:4). Most people dislike the thought of being judged for their sins. - by Rick Duggin
