3 The UK (Great Britain )  parliamentary, constitutional monarchy, no written constitution or document  the head - a monarch = a king or a queen  the present head of state = Queen Elizabeth II - reigns but not rules, neutral in political affairs  country - is governed in her name by the government = body of ministers  responsible to a parliament  history - always monarchy except 1649-1660 = the republic, Oliver Cromwell
