3 Fishing has a great history. It has been done not only in the rivers, but in streams and also in lakes. The world of water has given sustenance to a lot of fishermen and other people in connection with water for hundreds of years. The fish basket, catfish clonk and other old fashioned tools have been in usage even now.

4 Marsh-dwelling is a complex life of fishermen, hunters and herbalists living close to marsh or mire.

5 He prepared trawls with different size of holes for fishing and marsh-dwelling.

6 Angling is an ancient form of finding food. The aim is to catch a fish with a rod, string and hook. Nowadays it is a kind of hobby.

7 His task was to keep the bridge in good condition, watch over who can use it. He collected the bridge-toll. Its amount depended on the products people carried.

8 He worked on a ferry moving between the 2 banks of a river.

9 On cargo ships he is called shipmaster, on ocean liners commodore. He is responsible for the whole ship. Etymologically, the name "sailor" preserves the memory of the time when ships were commonly powered by sails. A sailor, seaman, mariner, or seafarer is a person who navigates waterborne vessels or assists as a crewmember in their operation and maintenance.

10 A raft is any flat structure for support or transportation over water. It is the most basic of boat design, characterized by the absence of a hull. They are usually kept afloat by using any combination of buoyant materials such as wood and they are typically not propelled by an engine. A raftman is a person who operates the raft.

11 The dug well is a cylinder shape vertical structure in the ground made with a spade. He had to dig very deep, at least 20-30 m to find a water with good quality for people and animals.

12 In 19 th century there wasn’t tap water so water-carriers take drinkable water with water tank or in potteries. At harvest time water was carried by young girls to the harvesters.

13 His task is to watch the routes of water flows and the foreshore. He also takes care of floodgates.

14 Commercial divers are employed to perform tasks related to industries involving underwater work, including civil engineering tasks such as in oil exploration, offshore construction dam maintenance and harbour works. Commercial divers may also be employed to perform tasks specifically related to marine activities, such as naval diving, including the repair and inspection of boats and ships, salvage of wrecks or aquaculture.

15 A plumber is a tradesperson who specializes in installing and maintaining systems used for potable (drinking) water, sewage, and drainage in plumbing systems. The term dates from ancient times, and is related to the Latin word for lead, "plumbum."
