Isaiah 55:2 (New American Standard Bible) "Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And delight yourself in abundance.”

Sadness - Happiness Both emotions can trigger the SAME type of compulsive or impulsive behavior with money Buying because we DESERVE it. Spending because we believe that some THING will make us feel better. Spending on something we don’t need because “after all – we don’t have enough to pay all the bills anyway.”

ANGER Who are you to tell ME what I can and can’t do? The system messed me up – I’m going to do what I want with this money – It’s NOT FAIR! Why should THEY have everything?

Depression The lies of the enemy will tell you that the riches of the world can make you happy. The enemy will deceive you into believing that happiness comes from worldly possessions

Ecclesiastes 5:10 (New Living Translation) “Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness!”

What Should we do with our money? Tithe Pay Bills Save Give

Proverbs 13:11 (New Living Translation) “Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time. “

Have a Vision and a Plan God has a plan for you – so should you have a plan for yourself. Say no to those things not on your plan. Say yes to help from people with good plans who are living prosperously in the Lord. Do not despise those who advise you out of love.

Plan to Succeed Write down your Budget Plan Keep track of where you spend your money If you are tempted to spend money you do not have – Don’t go to the Mall – or restaurant – Don’t allow yourself to be tempted. Always ask yourself when you get ready to hand over the money – “Is this in God’s or my Plan?”

God’s Plan for You Jeremiah 29:11 (New Living Translation) “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. A spirit of prosperity – not poverty.
