2 Modern Language Association Contents  Include each source that you referenced in your paper Pagination  Insert the page number in the header ½ inch below the top of the page as a continuation from the text Title  Center the title, Works Cited, 1 inch below the top of the page Spacing  Double space throughout the entire Works Cited page Alignment and indentation  Align the first line of each citation with the left margin. Indent subsequent lines ½ inch Ordering  Arrange in alphabetical order. If citation begins with an article (a, an, the), then use the next word.
