2Co 12:9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."

Why Trials To Weaken Us To know God’s Power To purify our faith To Develop Our Character To comfort and identify with others To Correct Us

Weaken Us 2Co 12:9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2Co 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2Co 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 2Co 4:8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 2Co 4:9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—

2Co 4:10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 2Co 4:11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 2Co 4:12 So then death is working in us, but life in you.

1Pe 1:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 1Pe 1:7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

Jas 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, Jas 1:3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. Jas 1:4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

2Co 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 2Co 1:4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

His Word To Us Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Joh 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

His Word To Us John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (NIV) Psa_34:4 I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.

His presence In Us For He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU." Heb 13:6 So we may boldly say: "THE LORD IS MY HELPER; I WILL NOT FEAR. WHAT CAN MAN DO TO ME?" Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

His presence In Us Psa 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Exo 33:14 And He said, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

His presence In Us Joh 14:18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. 2Co 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

His People With Us 1Co 12:26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. 1Co 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. 1Co 12:25 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.

His Prayers Through Us God uses us in prayer Col 4:2 Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; Col 4:3 meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, Col 4:4 that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

His Prayers Through Us God uses us in prayer Col_1:9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 1Th_5:25 Brethren, pray for us. 2Th_3:1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, Heb_13:18 Pray for us;

His Prayers Through Us God uses us in prayer Exo 17:10 So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. Exo 17:11 And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

His Prayers Through Us God uses us in prayer Exo 17:12 But Moses' hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. Exo 17:13 So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

His Prayers For Us Heb_7:25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Joh 17:20 "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;

His Prayers For Us Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Rom 8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
