4 Terminology CIITS – Continuous Instructional Improvement Technology System EDS – Educator Development Suite (equivalent to the Educator Development button in CIITS) Sources of evidence – refers to Self-Reflection, PGP, etc. OP – Other Professionals OPGES – Professional Growth & Effectiveness System for Other Professionals IC – Infinite Campus

5 OP Job Categories OPs consist of certified individuals serving schools in the following roles: School Guidance Counselor Therapeutic Specialist Library Media Specialist School Psychologist School Instructional Specialist/Coach

6 OP sources of evidence OPs will have access to the following sources of evidence in EDS: Observation Self-Reflection (two windows) Professional Growth Plan Student Growth Goals Student Voice Survey Summative Evaluation

7 OP Pilot OP pilot taking place during the 2014-15 school year Districts identified OP pilot participants in the OPGES web collector Note: OPGES web collector is a tool in KDE web apps that was designed to allow districts to identify OPs for the pilot year

8 OP Pilot Participants Identified through the OPGES web collector Job category defined in the OPGES web collector Must have active district assignment record in the school in which they will be evaluated No other setup in IC required

9 OP Non-Pilot Participants Identified by the Type/Alternate Type values on active IC district assignment records Type/Alternate Type values must be the same on all active district assignment records Must have active district assignment record in the school in which they will be evaluated

10 OP Setup Reminders PGES is school-based; OP pilot and non-pilot participants must have an active district assignment record in the school in which they will be evaluated When setting up OP non-pilot participants, the Type/Alternate Type values on all active district assignment records in IC must be the same

11 OP Type/Alt Type to Job Category Mapping *Applies to non-pilot OPs only during the pilot year.

12 OP Setup and Gradebook Persons assigned as the primary teacher or teacher on a section will have access to the section’s gradebook, provided they have appropriate tool rights. The value in the Type/Alternate Type fields do not control access. Persons assigned as the primary teacher, teacher, or section staff on a section may have the Type/Alternate Type value on all district assignment records set to an OP value. This will not negatively impact LEAD.

13 OP Role in CIITS OPs default role in CIITS will be “Staff” OPs who are also teachers will also have the teacher tools in CIITS To access the sources of evidence related to the OP’s framework in EDS, the OP should set their default role to “Staff” and default institution to the school they will be evaluated in To set default role and institution, choose “My Account” from the top right corner of the CIITS home page, set default role and institution, click Save. Note: OPs who are also teachers may see the Teacher sources of evidence in EDS if they do not set their default role to “Staff”
