Summer Research Opportunities Program Overview SROP is a nine-week summer experience designed to help historically under-represented students explore opportunities for graduate study and academic careers. Three areas of focus Research Skills Graduate Education Career Development And a campus summary symposium at the end of the program.

Eligibility & Qualifications First generation, low income, persons with disabilities U.S. citizen or permanent resident Minimum 3.0 or above GPA Completed sophomore year before the program Have completed 1/3 required credit hours for undergraduate major Will have at least one remaining term at their home university after completing SROP Strong interest in attending graduate school and a Ph.D.

Participant Benefits $3,000 Stipend Room and Board Meals, Tuition and Fees $500 Housing Allowance (or dorm room for the 9-week program) Travel Allowance Academic Credit (Graduate School 501) $500 Faculty Research Allowance Conference Expenses One-on-One Mentoring and Tutoring GRE Prep Graduate School Application Advice Eligibility for OSU SROP Fellowship and Fee Waivers
