Students can sign up for classes when they pick up schedules—week of august 5 th. Please enroll in 7th period ROP classes at that time—Good for elective credit; career exploration; classes articulate to colleges Henri Highlander sample

3 Instructions for registration process PLEASE WRITE THE DATE OF CLASSROOM REGISTRAION ON THE REGISTRATION MATERIALS. BE PREPARED. BRING MATERIALS COMPLETED. Reminder Students will see their designated counselor to review registration card and can ask questions as we review with them in room 84 and input information Registration Card and Student information Sheet MUST be completed this week- Feb. 20 th and 21 st in room 84 Consider AP or honors, please ascertain signatures with teachers and begin conversations. Students are expected to complete year long courses. Students Complete your projected 4 year plan and review with counselors at time of registration. DO consider ACADEMY Requirements English, Math, Science, World Language—Advanced Electives Counselors demonstrate completion of the registration card. On from each area and also electives and alternates very important! Student Information SHEET… must be signed by parent if not changes. Use pencil not pen please

4 REVIEW TRANSCRIPT components Check address/ phone-correct? If not check with attendance P in left column for College PREP Rank – GPA. College GPA only A-G classes- Every class worth 5 units (except- health 2.5) Circle every class where a unit needs to be made up. Develop a plan for unit make up with your counselor Grade of D? Circle- retake the same exact class in order to replace on transcript.-otherwise classes are averaged together College eligibility : A-G classes/ grades/ SAT/ACT scores- UC also require community service and leadership Junior-. 4 year college. 5 Requirements Importance of A-G academic rigor for 4 year college eligibility. REVIEW ABI Status to ensure you are on track.. College Night info will be given at registration as date becomes available. Need to complete 11 of the A-G courses by the end of junior year with C (B is BEST) or better for UC schools This year Cal State Fullerton min eligibility 3.47. Times are very competitive-stay focused and competitive ( exceed minimum requirements) stay in math, even if going to Community College. Beginning Math Algebra 2. College bound sophomores –plan to sign up for PSAT - on October 15 th of your junior year. (fee waiver) NO MORE SUBJECT TEST REQUIRED FOR UC- research your chosen field and school especially Engineering and Math… some UC schools/programs require subject tests- PLEASE RESEARCH. NHS- Mrs. Briq- Ashley; CSF Mrs. Silvas and Mrs. Sorenson- investigate 2 weeks into each semester for NHS/CSF. Do not wait! Keep track of community service hours - form in Guidance they can use. Interested in how to achieve a LHHS Graduation cords- check list on website. –

6 : All students should plan to stay in year long classes.. Be very thoughtful in choosing classes as we build the Master Schedule around these choice and there is an expectation that students will remain in all classes they choose UC schools require 11 core A-G classes completed by end of junior year. Summer school information is tentative will we announce summer classes when finalized. Students must remediate classes in the summer. NCAA- Div 1 and Division 2 require--16 core courses.. Check the 48H approved list…... FINE ART classes not included. Check tab on website for NCAA brochure and worksheet.
