Lord I lift your name on high And I love to sing Your praises I'm so glad You’re in my life I'm so glad you came to save us

You came from heaven to earth To show the way From the earth to the cross My debt to pay From the cross to the grave From the grave to the sky Lord I lift Your name on high

Lord I lift your name on high And I love to sing Your praises I'm so glad You’re in my life I'm so glad you came to save us

You came from heaven to earth To show the way From the earth to the cross My debt to pay From the cross to the grave From the grave to the sky Lord I lift Your name on high

How Great Thou Art O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder Thy power throughout the universe displayed

Then sings my soul, My Savior God to Thee How great Thou art. (repeat)

When thru the woods, And forest glades I wander And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees When I look down, From lofty mountain grandeur And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze

Then sings my soul, My Savior God to Thee How great Thou art. (repeat)

And when I think, That God His Son not sparing Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in That on the cross, My burden gladly bearing He bled and died, to take away my sin

Then sings my soul, My Savior God to Thee How great Thou art. (repeat)

King of all days, Oh so highly exalted Glorious in heaven above Humbly you came to the earth you created All for love’s sake became poor

Here I am to worship, Here I am to bow down Here I am to say that you’re my God You’re altogether lovely Altogether worthy, Altogether wonderful to me

I’ll never know how much it cost To see my sin upon that cross And I’ll never know how much it cost

Here I am to worship, Here I am to bow down Here I am to say that you’re my God You’re altogether lovely Altogether worthy, Altogether wonderful to me

Sometimes Love Is our world spinning backwards? What has brought about this change? Cant you see that people aren’t the same Wish I were dreamin’ And could wake up from my sleep Find us all the way we used to be

Cause the love that used to be is dyin’ Is anybody even tryin’
Cause the love that used to be is dyin’ Is anybody even tryin’? And I don’t know how, I don’t know why But somethin’ in my soul is cryin’ Sometimes love has to drive a nail into its own hand Sometimes love has to drive a nail into its own hand, into its own hand

One pair of Hands broke some bread and washed some feet Opened eyes and soothed an angry sea Belong to a Man who could see our deepest need And showed us love the way it has to be ‘Cause He knew the price that love requires And He laid down His own desires He stretched out His hands to save His friends And said 'no other love is higher'

Sometimes love has to drive a nail into its own hand, into its own hand Sometimes love has to drive a nail into its own hand, into its own hand Love can change us, love can make a way Only love can change us, love can make a way Only Jesus' love can change us, love can make a way Only Jesus' love can change us, love can make a way

Lead Me to the Cross Savior I come Quiet my soul remember Redemption's hill Where Your blood was spilled For my ransom Everything I once held dear I count it all as lost

Lead me to the cross Where Your love poured out Bring me to my knees Lord I lay me down Rid me of myself I belong to You Lead me, lead me to the cross

You were as I Tempted and trialed Human The word became flesh Bore my sin and death Now you're risen Everything I once held dear I count it all as lost

Lead me to the cross Where Your love poured out Bring me to my knees Lord I lay me down Rid me of myself I belong to You Lead me, lead me to the cross

To your heart To your heart Lead me to your heart Lead me to your heart

Lead me to the cross Where Your love poured out Bring me to my knees Lord I lay me down Rid me of myself I belong to You Lead me, lead me to the cross

1 Corinthians 1: For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” .” 20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. 26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.  31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are being saved it is the power of God.”

Who else but God could take a cross that represented defeat – and turn it into a symbol of victory? Who else but God could take a cross that represented guilt – and turn it into the symbol for grace? Who else but God could take a cross that represented condemnation – and turn it into a symbol of freedom?

Who else but God could take a cross that represented pain and suffering – and turn it into symbol of healing and hope? Who else but God could take a cross that represented death – and turn it into a symbol of life?

What God Did For the Cross, He Can Do for You.

“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.”

1 Corinthians 12:9-10 “I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in…For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Will you, like Christ did before us, trust God enough to let your weakness be His strength?

Do for us what you did for the Cross.
Do for me, do for this church, do for this city, do for this nation, do for this world what you did for the Cross, that we might begin to understand why you chose such an uncomfortable means of self-sacrifice.
