Choosing A brand When choosing between the different brands the Good Consumers will look carefully at... Price of each product Quality of each product Features included with each product Ingredients and additives if its food (organic or free range) Guarantee Exists / how long Special Offers

Unit Pricing Work out the unit price of each of the examples below 2KG of sugar for €2 = €1 per KG 150g of beans for 30c = 5c per gram ten pack of toilet roll (100 sheets per roll) €10 = €1 per roll or 1c per sheet a 6pack of mineral water (500ml per bottle) €3 = €1 per litre or 1c per 10ml

False Economy paying 50c for a large bar of chocolate rather than 20c for a small one & throwing half away buying a cheap game for your nintendo DS and not using it paying €100 for a Vod phone when a Met one costs €120 Met texts are free and Vod costs 50 cent each not servicing your car for €50 and paying €2500 to repair it Penny Wise - Pound Foolish

Conclusion good consumers are aware of legal rights and helpful organisation's look at value for money & prices between retailer s. keep receipts/ guarantees in a safe place and Avoid false economy When choosing a brand compare price quality features ingredients Be aware of guarantees / special offers Penny Wise - Pound Foolish
