3. Seven Foolish Fishermen A story from France I am going to read aloud a story about seven brothers. Comprehension Skill: Drawing Conclusions Why is the mother worried about her sons? Why do you think the brother who has fallen into the well doesn’t speak? What does the stranger realize when the brothers tell him their story?

We know this because when he and Poppa go into the store, the storekeeper says hello to Poppa and George.
